Abstract
This research is based on the researcher’s field observations, which revealed that children's knowledge regarding the prevention of sexual harassment has not developed optimally. This is evidenced by the fact that some children still do not know which parts of their bodies may or may not be touched by others, are not yet able to recognize suspicious and potentially dangerous situations, do not know the appropriate actions to take when faced with such situations, and the use of technology-based learning media in lessons related to the prevention of sexual harassment is still rarely applied. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using animated videos to improve knowledge about the prevention of sexual harassment in children aged 5–6 years at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 29. This research uses a Pre-Experimental Design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 20 children selected through non-probability sampling using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using participatory observation. The researcher used an observation sheet as the research instrument, which had been validated. The data analysis techniques used in this study included normality testing, homogeneity testing, and hypothesis testing. Based on the analysis of the research results, it can be concluded that the use of animated videos is effective in increasing knowledge about the prevention of sexual harassment in children aged 5–6 years at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 29. This is supported by the t-test hypothesis test result showing that the calculated t-value (33.64) is greater than the t-table value (2.093), thus the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This indicates a significant effect of using animated videos on children's understanding of sexual harassment prevention. The effect size of using animated videos on children's knowledge was found to be 3.62. According to Cohen's criteria for effect size interpretation, this falls into the “strong effect” category. Based on the research findings and discussion, it can be concluded that the use of animated videos is effective in increasing knowledge about the prevention of sexual harassment in children aged 5–6 years at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 29.
