Kata Kunci: Soft Skill, Hard Skill, Kesiapan Menjadi Guru Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan Kesiapan Menjadi Guru belum optimal. Semakin kompleksnya tuntutan terhadap kompetensi guru di era modern, yang tidak hanya membutuhkan penguasaan materi (hard skill) tetapi juga kemampuan non-teknis (soft skill) yang kuat. Mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi Angkatan 2021 Universitas Jambi, sebagai calon pendidik, diidentifikasi sebagai agen potensial yang diharapkan memiliki kesiapan optimal untuk memasuki profesi keguruan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh soft skill dan hard skill terhadap kesiapan menjadi guru pada mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi angkatan 2021 Universitas Jambi baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pemdidikan ekonomi angkatan 2021 dengan sampel sebanyak 84 responden dan diambil secara simple random sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode ex-post facto. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan google form. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistic deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara parsial variabel soft skill berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan menjadi guru dengan nilai thitung > ttabel (2,140 > 1663). Secara parsial variabel hard skill berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan menjadi guru dengan nilai thitung > ttabel (3,150 > 1,663). Secara simultan Soft Skill dan Hard Skill berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kesiapan Menjadi Guru dengan nilai Fhitung > Ftabel (37,232 > 3,11) dan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 46,6%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Soft Skill dan Hard Skill berpengaruh positif dan signifikan Terhadap Kesiapan Menjadi Guru. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah wawasan menyangkut hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan Soft Skill dan Hard Skill terhadap Kesiapan Menjadi Guru dan dapat dijadikan sebagai literatur agar dapat mengetahui pentingnya penguasaan keterampilan soft skill maupun Hard Skill bagi mahasiswa calon guru untuk menghadapi dunia pendidikan secara professional. The increasingly complex demands on teacher competence in the modern era, which not only require mastery of material (hard skills) but also strong non-technical abilities (soft skills). Jambi University's Class of 2021 Economics Education Students, as prospective educators, are identified as potential agents who are expected to have optimal readiness to enter the teaching profession. This study aims to determine the effect of soft skills and hard skills on readiness to become a teacher for economic education students in the 2021 batch of Jambi University both partially and simultaneously. The population in this study were 2021 economics education students with a sample of 84 respondents and taken by simple random sampling. This research is a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto method. The data collection technique uses google form. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the results of the study, it shows that partially the soft skill variable has a positive and significant effect on readiness to become a teacher with a tcount> ttable value (2.140> 1663). Partially, the hard skill variable has a positive and significant effect on readiness to become a teacher with a tcount> ttable value (3.150> 1.663). Simultaneously Soft Skills and Hard Skills have a positive and significant effect on Readiness to Become a Teacher with a value of Fhitung> Ftabel (37.232> 3.11) and a coefficient of determination of 46.6%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that Soft Skills and Hard Skills have a positive and significant effect on Readiness to Become a Teacher. This research is expected to add insight regarding matters relating to Soft Skills and Hard Skills on Readiness to Become a Teacher and can be used as literature in order to know the importance of mastering soft skills and hard skills for prospective teacher students to face the world of education professionally.
