Abstract

Kemampuan koneksi matematis merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting dalam matematika karena memungkinkan siswa mengaitkan antar konsep serta menerapkan matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal berbentuk cerita, khususnya pada materi SPLDV. Kesulitan tersebut antara lain dalam memahami informasi soal, menyusun pemisalan yang tepat, membuat model matematika, serta melakukan penyelesaian secara logis. Selain itu, kepribadian siswa introvert juga turut memengaruhi bagaimana mereka memahami dan menyampaikan ide matematis.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa tipe kepribadian Introvert dalam menyelesaikan soal pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel di kelas VIII SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Dimana melalui penelitian ini akan dilakukan proses menganalisis pada soal materi SPLDV dengan indikator kemampuan koneksi matematis Subjek penelitian ini adalah empat orang siswa tipe kepribadian Introvert di kelas VIII J tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Instrumen penelitian ini terdiri dari lembar tes kepribadian MBTI (Myers-Briggs-Type-Indicator), lembar soal koneksi matematis materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa introvert umumnya mampu memenuhi tiga indikator koneksi matematis, yaitu: (1) mengenali dan memanfaatkan hubungan antar gagasan dalam matematika, (2) memahami bagaimana gagasan-gagasan dalam matematika saling berhubungan dan mendasari satu sama lain untuk menghasilkan suatu keutuhan koheren, dan (3) mengenali dan menerapkan matematika dalam konteks diluar matematika. Namun, sebagian siswa belum sepenuhnya menuliskan langkah-langkah penyelesaian secara jelas dan tidak melakukan refleksi ulang terhadap jawaban mereka. Hal ini menunjukkan Siswa introvert memiliki kemampuan dalam menghubungkan konsep matematika, namun masih memerlukan bantuan dalam menjelaskan pemahaman mereka secara tertulis dan mengevaluasi kembali solusi yang telah dibuat. Mathematical connection ability is one of the important competencies in mathematics because it allows students to connect between concepts and apply mathematics in everyday life. However, the reality in the field shows that many students have difficulty in working on story-shaped problems, especially in SPLDV material. These difficulties include understanding the problem information, compiling the right memorization, making mathematical models, and solving logically. The purpose of this study is to determine the mathematical connection ability of introverted personality type students in solving problems on the material of the system of linear equations of two variables in class VIII Junior High School. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Through this research, the process of analyzing SPLDV material questions with indicators of mathematical connection ability will be carried out. The subjects of this research are four Introverted personality type students in class VIII J in the 2024/2025 school year. This research instrument consists of MBTI (Myers-Briggs-Type-Indicator) personality test sheet, mathematical connection question sheet on the material of the system of linear equations of two variables and interview guidelines. The results showed that introverted students were generally able to fulfill three indicators of mathematical connection, namely: (1) recognizing and utilizing relationships between ideas in mathematics, (2) understanding how ideas in mathematics are interconnected and underlie each other to produce a coherent whole, and (3) recognizing and applying mathematics in contexts outside mathematics. However, some students did not fully write down the steps of the solution clearly and did not reflect on their answers. This shows that introverted students have the ability to connect mathematical concepts, but still need help in explaining their understanding in writing and re-evaluating the solutions that have been made.
