Abstract
Anggraini, Roza (2025): Developing English Reading Material for Tenth Grade of Senior High School by Using Canva. Thesis. English Education Study Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Jambi University in the Academic Year 2024/2025. The first supervisor is Drs. Saharudin, M.ED., M. APP.SC,Ph.D. and the second supervisor is Dr. Sri Wachyunni, S.S., M.Hum.,MA This research is a type of development research. This research aims to develop Canva-assisted English reading teaching materials. The subjects of this research were tenth grade students of Senior High School 14 Merangin. In product development, this research used mixed method with a total of 20 students. The development process used the ADDIE model. Data was collected using observation techniques, and questionnaires. The book design process is as follows: (1) Needs analysis; to find out the needs of students by conducting observations and questionnaires of target needs, (2) Design Stage; planning the layout and material to be included in the product, (3) Development Stage; the product is developed and designed with appropriate materials and activities, validation from material experts and media experts, questionnaires are given to each expert to get input and suggestions for the book, (4) Implementation; the process of testing the book, and (5) Evaluation; the process of analysis, design, and development to be revised and concluded in the form of final stage development. This book was in the form of flipbook. It consisted of two chapters for tenth grade students. The results showed that the percentage expert material assessments of 70,6% and media expert of 81,7% and big trial group is 91%. Therefore, after all the process from the analysis stage to the final evaluation from experts, the researcher was assumed that the English reading material based on contructivism eventually reached generally satisfactory standard.
