Abstract

ABSTRACT Erni Yusnita, P2A419014. Developing English Speaking Module for Eleventh Grade Students at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Nururrodhiyah Kota Jambi. Thesis English Faculty of Teacher’s Training and Education, English Education Program, University Jambi, 2019. In this research, the researcher was aimed to develop speaking materials for eleventh grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Nururrodhiyah Kota Jambi. It found that the speaking materials provide in the student‘worksheet were not enough for students to develop their English Speaking skill. This research was conducted based on educational Research and Development (R & D) by applying the ADDIE model by Branch as procedure the material by using module, the stages there are 1)Analisys, 2)Design Materials, 3) Developing materials, 4) Implementation the module, 5) Evaluation the product. The subject of this research was Eleventh grade students at madrasah Aliyah Nururrodhiyah Kota jambi. The data was taken from distributing questionnaire for 34 students. Based on the students analysis conducted the students need speaking materials which related to their daily life and could support their learning activity to practice English. Thus, developing material was based on students need and students’ ability. The learning materials were developed into 8 lessons of speaking materials. The products have been validated by expert, namely the one of lecturer in English education program. The researcher was developed speaking materials are suitable, relevant and feasible for the eleventh grade students of Senior High School.
