Abstract

xi ABSTRACT Background: Obesity according to WHO is the accumulation of excess fat that can pose a risk to health. Consumption of fatty foods and carbohydrates can increase LDL and cholesterol levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between carbohydrate intake and fat intake on cholesterol levels in overweight and obesity in the Civitas Akademika of FKIK UNJA in 2021. Methodology: This research is a Correlative Analytical research with a Cross Sectional research design. The research sample amounted to 75 people who were taken using the correlative analytic formula. Data analysis was performed using Spearman's test. Results: There were 75 sampels who met the inclusion criteria with the most age characteristics at the age of 18-25 years with a total of 65 people (86.7%), the most gender characteristics being women in total of 47 people (67.7%), the most BMI characteristics being overweight of 28 people (37.3%), the highest carbohydrate intake with sufficient RDA of 52 people (69.3%), the highest fat intake with more than 30 people (40%), the highest cholesterol levels in the good category were 42 people (56% ), the correlation test of carbohydrates and cholesterol showed a strong relationship with the test value (r = 0.587; p = 0.000), the correlation test of fat and cholesterol showed a moderate relationship with the test value (r = 0.357; p = 0.002). Conclusion: There is a strong correlation between carbohydrates and cholesterol and a moderate correlation between fat and cholesterol. Keywords: Carbohydrates, Fats, Cholesterol, Overweight, Obesity xii ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Obesitas menurut WHO merupakan penumpukan lemak berlebih yang dapat menimbulkan risiko bagi kesehatan. Konsumsi makanan berlemak dan karbohidrat dapat meningkatkan LDL dan kadar kolesterol. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara asupan karbohidrat dan asupan lemak terhadap kadar kolesterol pada overweight dan obesitas di civitas akademika FKIK UNJA Tahun 2021. Metodologi: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Analitik Korelatif dengan rancangan penelitian Cross Sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 75 orang yang diambil menggunakan rumus analitik korelatif. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Spearman. Hasil: Didapatkan 75 orang yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dengan karakteristik usia terbanyak pada usia 18-25 tahun sejumlah 65 orang (86,7%), karakteristik jenis kelamin terbanyak adalah perempuan sejumlah 47 orang (67,7%), karakteristik IMT terbanyak adalah overweight sejumlah 28 orang (37,3%), asupan karbohidrat terbanyak dengan AKG cukup sejumlah 52 orang (69,3%), asupan lemak terbanyak dengan AKG lebih sejumlah 30 orang (40%), kadar kolesterol terbanyak dengan kategori baik sejumlah 42 orang (56%), pada uji kolerasi karbohidrat dan kolesterol menunjukkan hubungan kuat dengan nilai uji (r=0,587; p=0,000), pada uji kolerasi lemak dengan kolesterol menujukkan hubungan moderat dengan nilai uji (r=0,357; p=0,002). Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan korelasi kuat antara karbohidrat dan kolesterol serta korelasi moderat antara lemak dan kolesterol. Kata Kunci: Karbohidrat, Lemak, Kolesterol, Overweight, Obesitas.
