Abstract
ABSTRACT The education equity program is one of the government's efforts in advancing Indonesia in the field of education in many forms. One of them is the PPDB Zoning System policy. This zoning system appears as a form of equal distribution of education and to remove the flagship school brand that has spread in the community. With this zoning system, it is hoped that all schools will have the same quality and there will be no more favorite schools that all schools are favorites. With this new policy, it is undeniable that it will cause many problems that arise both from the school and the community, namely the guardians of students as education customers. This study aims to determine how the implementation of the zoning system policy in the acceptance of new students at SMA Negeri 3 Kota. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach by obtaining data from interviews, observations and direct documentation in the field. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the zoning system policy in PPDB SMA Negeri 3 Jambi City has been running quite well if viewed from various policy implementation indicators, namely communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure have been carried out well. However, for SMA Negeri 3 Jambi, the priority scale is communication. This communication is a socialization of the zoning policy to the target group, namely the community itself, considering that the main goal of this policy is equal distribution of education.
