Abstract
Abstract: Application of Project Assessment in Learning to Write Narrative Texts in Class VII at SMP Negeri 18 Jambi. This study aims to describe the project assessment design, the implementation of project assessment, and the obstacles to project assessment in learning narrative texts for class VII students at SMP Negeri 18 Jambi City in the academic year 2022/2023. The researcher used a descriptive approach with a qualitative type of research. The research data were project assessments, learning processes, lesson plans, class VII-G students at SMP Negeri 18 Jambi, the source of the data was obtained from teachers and students at SMP Negeri 18 Jambi. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research are aimed at designing project assessments, implementing project assessments in the process of learning to write narrative texts that have been going according to the steps of finding ideas, extracting ideas from reading, making a series of stories, developing narrative stories. The results of the project assessment got very good grades amounting to 9 people from 25 students or 36% while those who got good scores were 16 people from 25 students or 64%. Keywords : project assessment, research results, narrative structure of the text. Abstrak: Penerapan Penilaian Proyek dalam Pembelajaran Menulis Teks Narasi pada Kelas VII di SMP Negeri 18 Jambi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan rancangan penilaian proyek, pelaksanaan penilaian proyek, dan hambatan penilaian proyek pada pembelajaran teks narasi siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 18 Kota Jambi Tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Peneliti mengunakan metode pendekatan deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif, data penelitian adalah penilaian proyek, proses pembelajaran, RPP, siswa kelas VIIG di SMP Negeri 18 Jambi, sumber data diperoleh dari guru dan siswa SMP Negeri 18 Jambi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil peneliti ditujukan pada perancangan penilaian proyek, pelaksanaan penilaian proyek dalam proses pembelajaran menulis teks narasi sudah berjalan sesuai dengan langkah-langkah menemukan ide, penggalian ide dari membaca, membuat rangkaian cerita, mengembangkan cerita narasi. Hasil penilaian proyek mendapatkan nilai sangat baik berjumlah 9 orang dari 25 siswa atau 36% sementara yang mendapatkan nilai baik 16 orang dari 25 siswa atau 64%. Kata kunci: penilaian proyek, hasil penelitian, struktur narasi.
