Abstract

ABSTRAK Produktivitas tenaga kerja merupakan salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan suatu usahatani. Besarnya tingkat produktivitas tenaga kerja petani dipengaruhi oleh beberapa variabel, diantaranya adalah umur, luas lahan, jumlah anggota keluarga, lama pendidikan dan lama berusahatai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran usahatani, menganalisis curahan tenaga kerja dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produktivitas tenaga kerja petani pada perkebunan kelapa sawit swadaya di Kecamatan Sungai Bahar Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Data yang digunakan yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran usahatani, rumus matematis untuk perhitungan curahan tenaga kerja dan linear berganda untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produktivitas tenaga kerja. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan ialah metode acak sederhana dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 87 petani. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada petani yang memiliki lahan sendiri. Rata-rata curahan tenaga kerja tertinggi yaitu pada kegiatan panen langsir sebesar 7,71 HOK/Tahun dan rata-rata curahan tenaga kerja terendah yaitu pada kegiatan pemupukan sebesar 0,78 HOK/Tahun. Hasil regresi diperoleh bahwa faktor-faktor seperti umur, luas lahan dan jumlah anggota keluarga secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas tenaga kerja petani sedangkan lama pendidikan dan lama berusahatani tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas tenaga kerja petani di daerah penelitian. Untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tenaga kerja, petani perlu memperhatikan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya dan peran penyuluh untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada petani di daerah penelitian. The level of farmer labor productivity is influenced by several variables, including age, land size, number of family members, length of education and length of farming. This study aims to describe the description of farming, analyze labor expenditure and analyze the factors that affect the productivity of farmer labor on independent oil palm plantations in Sungai Bahar District, Muaro Jambi Regency. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The analysis used is descriptive analysis to describe the description of farming, mathematical formulas for calculating labor devotion and multiple linear to analyze the factors that influence labor productivity. The sampling technique used was a simple random method with a total sample size of 87 farmers. This research was conducted on farmers who own their own land. The highest average labor expenditure was on harvesting activities at 7.71 HOK/year and the lowest average labor expenditure was on fertilizing activities at 0.78 HOK/year. The regression results show that factors such as age, land size and number of family members partially have a significant effect on farmers' labor productivity while the length of education and length of farming have no significant effect on farmers' labor productivity in the study area. To increase labor productivity, farmers need to pay attention to the factors that influence it and the role of extension workers to provide understanding to farmers in the study area.
