Abstract

RINGKASAN PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KOMPOS CAMPURAN KOTORAN AYAM DAN LAMTORO TERHADAP P-TERSEDIA TANAH ULTISOL DAN HASIL KEDELAI (Glycine max L.). (Skripsi oleh Krismon Sujati dibawah bimbingan Dr. Ir. H. Wiskandar, M.P dan Ir. Najla Anwar Fuadi, S.P., M.Si., IPP., CIT). Indonesia memiliki luasan lahan kering mencapai 148 juta ha, di mana Ultisol merupakan salah satu jenis tanah yang paling banyak tersebar di Indonesia yang mempunyai luasan mencapai 45.794.000 ha atau hampir 25% dari total seluruh daratan di Indonesia. Provinsi Jambi sendiri memiliki luasan Ultisol mencapai 2.272.729 atau sekitar 44,56% dari luas wilayah. Ultisol tergolong lahan marginal dengan tingkat produktivitas rendah, kandungan hara pada tanah Ultisol umumnya rendah, sedangkan kandungan bahan organik rendah karena proses dekomposisi berjalan cepat sebagian terbawa erosi. Usaha yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanah seperti ketersediaan unsur hara yaitu dengan menambahkan bahan organik atau bahan pembenah tanah (soil conditioner) seperti kompos campuran kotoran ayam dan lamtoro. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh serta dosis terbaik dari kompos campuran kotoran ayam dan lamtoro terhadap P-tersedia tanah Ultisol dan hasil kedelai (Glycine max L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Simpang Sungai Duren, Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi yang dimuali dari bulan Februari 2023 sampai dengan bulan Juli 2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancang Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok, sehingga terdapat 24 petak percobaan. Ukuran petak percobaan 3 m x 2 m dengan jarak tanam 40 cm x 20 cm sehingga terdapat 75 tanaman. Adapun perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu K0 = tanpa perlakuan (kontrol), K1 = 5 ton/ha kompos campuran kotoran ayam dan lamtoro, K2 = 10 ton/ha kompos campuran kotoran ayam dan lamtoro, K3 = 15 ton/ha kompos campuran kotoran ayam dan lamtoro, K4 = 20 ton/ha kompos campuran kotoran ayam dan lamtoro, K5 = 25 ton/ha kompos campuran kotoran ayam dan lamtoro. Parameter tanah yang diamati adalah C-organik pH, al-dd, dan P-tersedia, sedangkan parameter tanaman yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, polong isi pertanaman, dan hasil tanaman. Analisis data menggunakan sidik ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda (Duncan Multiple Range Test/DMRT) taraf 5%. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukan bahwa pemberian kompos campuran kotoran ayam dan lamtoro dapat meningkatkan sifat kimia Ultisol seperti pH, C-organik dan P-tersedia serta menurunkan Al-dd tanah. Pemberian kompos campuran kotoran ayam dan lamtoro dapat meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah polong isi pertanaman, dan hasil tanaman kedelai, dengan dosis terbaik yaitu pada perlakuan K4 (20 ton/ha kompos campuran kotoran ayam dan lamtoro). Summary THE EFFECT OF ADMINISTRATION OF A MIXTURE OF CHICKEN MANURE AND LAMTORO COMPOST ON P-AVAILABLE SOIL ULTISOL AND SOYBEAN PRODUCTS (Glycine max L.). (Thesis by Krismon Sujati under the guidance of Dr. Ir. H. Wiskandar, M.P and Ir. Najla Anwar Fuadi, S.P., M.Si., IPP., CIT). Indonesia has a dry land area of 148 million ha, where Ultisol is one of the most widespread types of soil in Indonesia, covering an area of 45,794,000 ha or almost 25% of the total land area in Indonesia. Jambi Province itself has an Ultisol area of 2,272,729 or around 44.56% of the area. Ultisol is classified as marginal land with a low level of productivity, the nutrient content in Ultisol soil is generally low, while the organic matter content is low because the decomposition process is fast, some of it is carried by erosion. Efforts that can be made to increase soil productivity, such as the availability of nutrients, are by adding organic materials or soil conditioners such as compost mixed with chicken manure and lamtoro. This research aims to determine the effect and best dose of mixed chicken manure and lamtoro compost on P-available Ultisol soil and soybean (Glycine max L.) yield. This research was carried out in Simpang Sungai Duren Village, Jambi Luar Kota District, Muaro Jambi Regency starting from February 2023 to July 2023. The research method used was the experimental method. This research used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 6 treatments and 4 groups, so there were 24 experimental plots. The size of the experimental plot was 3 m x 2 m with a planting distance of 40 cm x 20 cm so that there were 75 plants. The treatments used were K0 = no treatment (control), K1 = 5 tons/ha of compost mixed with chicken manure and lamtoro, K2 = 10 tons/ha of compost mixed with chicken manure and lamtoro, K3 = 15 tons/ha of compost mixed with chicken manure and lamtoro, K4 = 20 tonnes/ha of compost mixed with chicken manure and lamtoro, K5 = 25 tonnes/ha of compost mixed with chicken manure and lamtoro. The soil parameters observed were C-organic pH, al-dd, and P-available, while the plant parameters observed were plant height, pod contents planted, and plant yield. Data analysis used variance and continued with a multiple range test (Duncan Multiple Range Test/DMRT) at 5% level. The results obtained from the research that has been carried out show that giving compost mixed with chicken manure and lamtoro can increase the chemical properties of Ultisol such as pH, organic C and available P and reduce soil Al-DD. Providing compost mixed with chicken manure and lamtoro can increase plant height, the number of pods contained in the plant, and the yield of soybean plants, with the best dose being the K4 treatment (20 tonnes/ha of compost mixed with chicken manure and lamtoro).
