Abstract
Integrating a technology to support comprehending the reading by the student is an output of pairing reading with a motivational activity. The attitude of students who are consistent in integrating and/or do not want to integrate technology toward the development of their reading comprehension abilities might be impacted by personality. Personality plays a crucial part which can influence how student thinks, feels, behaves as well as how their approach in reading comprehension. Therefore, the objective of this research is to investigate the relationship among Big Five Personality Traits, ICT Integration, and Reading Comprehension of the sixth-semester students of English Education at Jambi University. This research is a correlational study using a quantitative method which investigated the probable relation of the variables. The result of analytical Pearson Product Moment test showed there is a significant, somewhat favorable association between Personality Traits and ICT Integration in Reading Comprehension of the student with the value 0.389 and t test showed sig value is <0.05. The coefficient of determination is 0.511 which showed that independent variables affect the dependent at 51% while remaining 49% is explained by other variables outside the model of the research. These findings have important implications for other researcher as well as educator to use ICT in their teaching practice. This research can be used as a source of reference for future study toward ICT, Big Five Personality Traits, and Reading Comprehension.
