Abstract
Berdasarkan obervasi proses pembelajaran sejarah yang dilakukan belum terlakasana dengan maksimal. Siswa sering bosan saat pembelajaran sejarah di siang hari atau akhir jam sekolah, ditambah materi yang banyak dan harus dihafal. Siswa kesulitan memahami dan menguasai konsep materi tertentu, terutama dalam menghafal nama tokoh, tanggal dan tahun penting dalam peristiwa sejarah. Siswa juga merasa belajar sejarah kurang berminat atau biasa saja, dikarenakan terlalu banyak mencatat dan siswa merasa bosan, kurang berminat ketika belajar sejarah karena guru hanya menjelaskan dan meminta siswa menyatat banyak materi. Guru juga jarang sekali memakai media pelajaran yang membuat merasa kurang interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa menggunkan model Problem Based Learning berbasis Spinwheel pada mata pembelajaran sejarah siswa kelas XI Fase F.2 dan efektivitas model Problem Based Learning berbasis Spinwheel yang telah diterapkan terhadap pembelajaran sejarah. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian PTK dengan tahapan perencanan (planning), tahapan pelaksanaan (action), tahapan pengamanatan (observation) dan evaluasi, tahapan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan 3 tahapan yaitu Siklus I Siklus II dan Siklus III. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji kriteria keberhasilan. Berdasarkan analisis hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis Spinwheel dalam pembelajaran sejarah mampu meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas XI Fase F.2 SMAN 10 Batanghari. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata hasil observasi di setiap siklus, yaitu siklus I sebesar 57%, siklus II sebesar 68%, dan siklus III sebesar 85%. Selain itu, penilaian sikap minat belajar siswa juga menunjukkan peningkatan, dengan nilai rata-rata pada siklus I sebesar 56%, siklus II sebesar 67%, dan siklus III sebesar 80%. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran yang diterapkan berhasil menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik dan efektif bagi siswa. Serta menjadikan pembelajaran sejarah lebih bermakna. Based on observations, the history learning process has not been implemented optimally. Students often feel bored during history lessons, especially when they are scheduled in the afternoon or at the end of the school day. This is compounded by the large amount of material that must be memorized. Students struggle to understand and master certain concepts, particularly when it comes to memorizing names of historical figures, important dates, and years of historical events. Moreover, students perceive history learning as uninteresting or ordinary, as it involves excessive note-taking. Students often lose interest because the teacher primarily delivers explanations and asks them to copy large amounts of material. The use of learning media is also very limited, which makes the learning experience feel less interactive. This study aims to increase students’ interest in learning by using the Spinwheel-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in history lessons for Grade XI students in Phase F.2, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of this model in the history learning process. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) that involves the stages of planning, action, observation and evaluation, and reflection. The study was conducted in three cycles: Cycle I, Cycle II, and Cycle III. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques involved normality testing, homogeneity testing, and success criteria testing. Based on the analysis and discussion of the research results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Spinwheel-based Problem Based Learning model in history learning was effective in increasing student interest in learning for Grade XI Phase F.2 at SMAN 10 Batanghari. This is evidenced by the increase in the average observation scores in each cycle: 57% in Cycle I, 68% in Cycle II, and 85% in Cycle III. Additionally, students’ attitude assessments regarding their interest in learning also showed improvement, with average scores of 56% in Cycle I, 67% in Cycle II, and 80% in Cycle III. These improvements indicate that the applied learning model successfully created a more engaging and effective learning environment for students and made history learning more meaningful.
