Abstract

Aplikasi SiKesal 2 merupakan platform pelaporan keluhan masyarakat Kota Jambi yang dikembangkan sebagai bagian dari program Smart City. Namun, aplikasi ini masih memiliki sejumlah permasalahan seperti antarmuka yang kurang menarik, navigasi yang membingungkan, serta keterbatasan akses pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang ulang desain User Interface (UI) dan User Experience (UX) aplikasi SiKesal 2 agar lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna dan meningkatkan nilai usability. Metode yang digunakan adalah Goal-Directed Design (GDD), yang terdiri dari enam tahapan: Research, Modeling, Requirements, Framework, Refinement, dan Support. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan usability testing menggunakan platform Maze dan metode System Usability Scale (SUS). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan peningkatan skor SUS dari 60,245 (kategori “Marginal Low”) menjadi 90,5 (kategori “Excellent”) setelah perancangan ulang dilakukan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode GDD efektif dalam menghasilkan desain aplikasi yang lebih intuitif, menarik, dan ramah pengguna. Dengan rancangan baru ini, aplikasi diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan penggunaan serta mendorong partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam menyampaikan keluhan secara digital. SiKesal 2 is a complaint-reporting application developed by the Jambi City Government as part of its Smart City initiative. However, the application still faces several usability issues, such as an unattractive interface, confusing navigation, and limited access for users. This study aims to redesign the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) of the SiKesal 2 application to better meet user needs and improve usability. The method used is Goal-Directed Design (GDD), which consists of six stages: Research, Modeling, Requirements, Framework, Refinement, and Support. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and usability testing using the Maze platform and the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The evaluation results showed an increase in SUS score from 60.245 ("Marginal Low" category) to 90.5 ("Excellent" category) after the redesign process. This indicates that the GDD method is effective in producing a more intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly application design. The redesigned version is expected to enhance user comfort and encourage active community participation in submitting digital complaints.
