Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Analisis Tingkat Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Sekitar Hutan Adat Talun Sakti Kecamatan Batang Asai Kabupaten Sarolangun, yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat dengan menggunakan indikator badan kependudukan dan keluarga berencana nasional (BKKBN). Kesejahteraan masyarakat sekitar hutan adat ini di pengaruhi dari berbagai macam faktor diantaranya seperti tingkat pendidikan, mata pencarian, pendapatan dan fasilitas dasar seperti kesehatan. Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriktif kuantitatif dengan mengkunakan teknik purposive sampling, yang mana responden merupakan masyarkat yang tinggal di sekitar hutan adat atau yang beraktivitas di sekitar hutan adat. Adapun data yang di kumpulkan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan koesioner yang mencangkup aspek kesejahteraan berdasarkan indikator badan kependudukan dan keluarga berencana nasional (BKKBN). Dari indikator tersebut meliputi kondisi ekonomi, pendidikan, kesehatan, tempat tinggal, konsumsi keluarga dan partisipasi masyarkat dalam lingkungan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas masyarkat sekitar hutan adat tergolong pada kategori Keluarga Sejahtera I dan II, dalam hal ini menunjukkan mereka sebgaian besar telah memenuhi kebutuhan dasar, namun masih terdapat beberapa kendala terutasma dalam aspek menjaga kesehatan dan kebersihan. Sebagaian besar keluarga juga mengantungkan hidupnya pada sektor pertanian dan hasil hutan bukan kayu, seperti rotan, jernang dan minyak kepayang. Namun rendahnnya tingkat pendidikan menjadikan keterbatasan terhadap akses pasar. Serta akses kesehatan yang menjadi hambatan dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan. The title of this research is An Analysis of the Welfare Level of Communities Surrounding the Talun Sakti Customary Forest in Batang Asai District, Sarolangun Regency, which aims to analyze the socio-economic conditions of the community using indicators from the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN). The welfare of communities living around the customary forest is influenced by various factors, including education level, livelihood, income, and access to basic facilities such as healthcare. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative, with a purposive sampling technique, where the respondents are residents living in or actively interacting with the area surrounding the customary forest. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, covering aspects of welfare based on BKKBN indicators. These indicators include economic conditions, education, health, housing, family consumption, and community participation in the local environment. The results of the study indicate that the majority of the community surrounding the customary forest falls into the categories of Welfare Family I and II, suggesting that most of them have fulfilled their basic needs. However, there are still some challenges, particularly in maintaining health and sanitation. Most families rely on the agricultural sector and non-timber forest products (NTFPs), such as rattan, jernang (dragon's blood resin), and kepayang oil. Nevertheless, the low level of education has limited their access to markets, and the lack of access to healthcare services remains a significant barrier to improving their overall welfare
