Abstract

Motivasi merupakan hal penting yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh setiap individu. Motivasi merupakan dorongan yang muncul dari dalam diri individu untuk mewujudkan tujuan mereka. Bagi siswa motivasi sangat dibutuhkan demi meningkatkan kualitas belajar mereka demi mencapai cita-cita mereka. Dukungan dan perhatian dari orangtua dapat memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda terhadap pembentukan motivasi belajar siswa. Pola komunikasi yang dimiliki dalam sebuah keluarga berbeda-beda sehingga memungkinkan perbedaan motivasi belajar yang dimiliki oleh setiap siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh pola komunikasi demokratis terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di SMA N 6 Kota Jambi dengan sampel sebanyak 64 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif yang mana untuk teknik pengambilan data menggunakan angket, uji coba instrument, uji t dengan bantuan spss. Hasil dari uji t diperoleh bahwa pola komunikasi demokratis orang tua (X) terhadap motivasi belajar anak (Y) adalah 0.002, yang dimana < dari 0.05. Selain itu, nilai t hitung adalah 3.251, yang dimana > dari nilai t tabel sebesar 2.000. Dengan demikian, hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Artinya, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari pola komunikasi demokratis orang tua terhadap motivasi belajar anak. Motivation is an important thing that is needed by every individual. Motivation is the drive that arises from within individuals to realize their goals. For students, motivation is needed to improve the quality of their learning in order to achieve their goals. Support and attention from parents can have different influences on the formation of students' learning motivation. Communication patterns that are owned in a family are different so that it allows differences in motivation learning owned by each student. This study aims to reveal the effect of democratic communication patterns on student learning motivation at SMA N 6 Jambi City with a sample of 64 students. This study uses quantitative methods which for data collection techniques using questionnaires, instrument trials, tests with spss assistance. The results of the t test obtained that the parents' democratic communication pattern (X) on children's learning motivation (Y) is 0.002, which is <0.05. In addition, the value of t calculated is 3.251, which is> from the t table value of 2.000. Thus, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. That is, there is a significant influence of parents' democratic communication patterns on children's learning motivation.
