Abstract

The development of digital technology has led to various innovations in the financial sector, one of which is the digital payment system based on the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) issued by Bank Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the efficiency of QRIS use among students at the University of Jambi, focusing on user characteristics and student perceptions of QRIS in terms of ease of use, trust, interest, and risk of use. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires to 158 students from eight faculties at the University of Jambi. The results show that most students have actively used QRIS, with 98.1% of respondents stating that they have made transactions using QRIS more than three times. In terms of perception, 90.3% of students considered QRIS as a practical transaction tool and 87.7% stated that QRIS was easy to use. In terms of trust, 85.1% of students felt confident in QRIS, 88.3% knew that the QRIS service was licensed, and 89% stated that they felt comfortable using it. Interest in use was also high, with 88.3% of students expressing interest in using QRIS, 92.9% feeling that QRIS met their needs, and 89% choosing QRIS as their primary transaction method. Regarding risk, 84.5% of students felt their privacy was protected when using QRIS, 81.2% considered the risk of using QRIS low, and 78% felt that QRIS was a safe transaction tool. These findings indicate that QRIS has been very well received by students at the University of Jambi as an efficient digital payment method, although ongoing socialization regarding security and QRIS usage is still needed.
