Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian eko enzim terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kale (Brassica oleracea L. var. acephala) serta menentukan konsentrasi optimal eko enzim. Kale merupakan sayuran bernilai gizi tinggi, namun produktivitasnya di Indonesia masih rendah. Eko enzim sebagai pupuk organik cair diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Green House Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi dari September hingga November 2024. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan satu faktor yaitu konsentrasi eko enzim (0; 5; 10; dan 15 mL/L) yang masing-masing diulang lima kali. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, panjang akar, bobot akar, dan bobot segar per tanaman. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan uji lanjut DMRT taraf 5%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemberian eko enzim berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter pertumbuhan. Konsentrasi 15 mL/L memberikan hasil terbaik dengan tinggi tanaman 11,6 cm, jumlah daun 8 helai, diameter batang 0,27 cm, panjang akar 27,08 cm, bobot akar 2,01 g, dan bobot segar 30,32 g. Eko enzim 15 mL/L direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif pupuk organik cair untuk budidaya kale yang ramah lingkungan. This study aimed to determine the effect of eco enzyme application on the growth and yield of kale (Brassica oleracea L. var. acephala) and to identify the optimal concentration. Kale is a highly nutritious vegetable, but its productivity in Indonesia remains low. Eco enzyme, as a liquid organic fertilizer, is expected to enhance plant growth. The experiment was conducted at the Greenhouse, Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi, from September to November 2024. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a single factor consisting of four treatment levels of eco enzyme (0; 5; 10; and 15 mL/L) was used, with five replications per treatment. Observed variables included plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, root length, root weight, and fresh weight per plant. Data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by DMRT at a 5% significance level. The results showed that eco enzyme significantly affected all growth parameters. The 15 mL/L treatment produced the best results with plant height of 11.6 cm, number of leaves 8, stem diameter 0.27 cm, root length 27.08 cm, root weight 2.01 g, and fresh weight 30.32 g. Eco enzyme at 15 mL/L is recommended as an environmentally friendly liquid organic fertilizer for kale cultivation.
