Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the teachers’ self-efficacy in teaching reading comprehension. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The data collection was done by interview and observation. There were three participants inthis research, the finding indicate that, from three participant only one that have self-efficacy in achieving the learning objectives and have many good ideas and strategies in overcoming students' difficulties in reading. Whreas the others participants were found that had a pessimistic and lacks confidence feeling in dealing with problems that arise.This research was conducted to support research on teacher self-efficacy and is expected to be useful for teachers, this research is expected to provide additional information to teachers regarding self-efficacy, especially in dealing with problems in reading comprehension.
