Safitri, Novi. 2023. Pengaruh Reward dan Punishment Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Bahasa Arab Siswa SMA Negeri 2 Kota Jambi. Skripsi, Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab, Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Jambi. Pembimbing: (I) Helty S.Pd., M.Pd., (II) Agung Yusup, M.Ed. Kata kunci: Reward, Punishment, Motivasi Belajar. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh reward dan punishment terhadap motivasi belajar bahasa Arab. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan termasuk dalam jenis penelitian korelasi dengan responden sebanyak 54 dari 108 siswa yang telah diseleksi menggunakan teknik random sampling. Instrument penelitian adalah kuesioner skala likert. Teknis analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil: (1) Terdapat pengaruh signifikan reward terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dengan nilai signifikansi 0,002 < 0,05 dan nilai thitung 3,355 > nilai ttabel 2,008, maka Ho1 ditolak dan Ha1 diterima. (2) Tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan punishment terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dengan nilai signifikansi 0,190 > 0,05 dan nilai thitung 1,329 < nilai ttabel 2,008, maka Ho2 diterima dan Ha2 ditolak. (3) Terdapat pengaruh signifikan reward dan punishment secara simultan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dengan nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05 dan nilai fhitung 8,184 > nilai ftabel 3,179, maka Ho3 ditolak dan Ha3 diterima. Kesimpulan: Reward dan punishment merupakan salah satu keterampilan mengajar yang harus dikuasai oleh pendidik. Bagi pendidik diharapkan sering memberikan kata-kata motivasi dan mengembangkan materi pembelajaran menggunakan media dan metode pembelajaran yang menarik. Jadi, dengan metode reward dan punishment yang mendidik diharapkan proses kegiatan belajar menjadi menyenangkan dan siswa bisa lebih aktif di kelas. Safitri, Novi. 2023. Conclusion: Reward and punishment is one of the teaching skills that must be mastered by educators. Educators are expected to often provide motivational words and develop learning materials using interesting learning media and methods. So, with the reward and punishment method that educates, it is hoped that the learning process will be fun and students can be more active in class.
