Abstract
Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui rancangan pelaksanaan dengan menggunakan model POE, untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran POE terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran POE di SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experimental Research atau penelitian eksperimen semu. Desain Quasi Exsperimental yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pretest Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Dari hasil penelitian di dapatkan bahwasanya Rancangan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Predict Observe Explain (POE) berjalan dengan baik dan mengalami peningkatan. Dari hasil posttest siswa diperoleh bahwa thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,92748 > 1,16715 dengan α = 5% di mana berdasarkan hasil uji t tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan model POE terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi asam basa di SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. Dan berdasarkan data angket respon siswa diperoleh model pembelajaran Predict Observe Explain (POE) terhadap materi asam basa di SMA N 1 Muaro Jambi mendapatkan respon positif dari siswa . Kata Kunci: Predict, Observe, Explain (POE), Keterampilan Proses Sains, Asam Basa Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation design using the POE model, to determine the effect of POE learning on science process skills and student responses to the POE learning model at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. This type of research is Quasi Experimental Research or quasi-experimental research. The Quasi Experimental Design used in this study was the Pretest Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. From the results of the study it was found that the learning design using the Predict Observe Explain (POE) learning model went well and experienced improvements. From the results of the students' posttest, it was found that tcount > ttable, namely 2.92748 > 1.16715 with α = 5% where based on the results of the t test it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of applying the POE model to students' science process skills in acid-base material in high school Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. And based on student response questionnaire data, it was obtained that the Predict Observe Explain (POE) learning model for acid-base material at SMA N 1 Muaro Jambi received a positive response from students.
