Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan memahami pengalaman hidup mahasiswa PLP (pengenalan lapangan persekolahan) dan kendala yang terjadi dalam pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis ICT (information and communication technology) di Program studi pendidikan bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Jambi pada bulan Februari 2023. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan Fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, FGD (focus Group Discussion), dan dokumentasi dari beberapa mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Universitas Jambi untuk mengetahui pengalaman mereka pada saat pelaksanaan PLP. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengalaman yang dialami oleh mahasiswa PLP Pendidikan Bahasa Arab mengenai pemanfaatan media ICT sebagai sumber pembelajaran bahasa Arab yaitu: (1) Mahasiswa memanfaatkan media ICT di kelas, namun hanya sesekali. Media ICT yang digunakan diantaranya WhatsApp, Youtube, dan PowerPoint. (2) Mahasiswa memanfaatkan media ICT hanya sebagai informasi di luar kelas. Seperti memberikan tugas, materi tambahan, dan informasi lainnya, serta untuk kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. (3) Mahasiswa tidak memanfaatkan media ICT sama sekali dikarenakan adanya kendala. Terdapat beberapa kendala yang dialami mahasiswa yaitu: (1) Minimnya sarana dan prasarana. (2) Durasi waktu yang singkat di kelas. (3) Kurangnya pengetahuan, keterampilan, kepercayaan, dan sikap mahasiswa untuk mengintregrasikan ICT. (4) Bingung dan kesulitan menentukan media pembelajaran dengan materi. (5) Keterbatasan jaringan internet. (6) Kurangnya perencanaan pembelajaran. Dari hasil penelitian ini tentunya implikasi bagi mahasiswa PLP pendidikan bahasa Arab kedepan dan para Dosen diharapkan dapat memberikan pelatihan kepada mahasiwa PLP Program Studi pendidikan bahasa Arab mengenai cara mengajar dan cara pemanfaatan media ICT. This study aims to describe and understand the life experience of PLP students (introduction to the school field) and the obstacles that occur in the use of ICT-based learning media (information and communication technology) in the Arabic Language Education Study Program. This research was conducted at the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and education, Jambi University in February 2023. This type of research is a qualitative research with phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques were conducted by interviews, FGD (focus Group Discussion), and documentation from several students of the Arabic Language Education Program at Jambi University to find out their experiences during the implementation of the PLP. The results showed that the experience experienced by PLP Arabic language education students regarding the use of ICT media as a source of learning Arabic, namely: (1) students use ICT media in the classroom, but only occasionally. ICT Media used include WhatsApp, Youtube, and PowerPoint. (2) students utilize ICT media only as information outside the classroom. Such as providing assignments, additional materials, and other information, as well as for extracurricular activities. (3) students do not utilize ICT media at all due to constraints. There are several obstacles experienced by students, namely: (1) the lack of facilities and infrastructure. (2) short duration of time in class. (3) lack of knowledge, skills, trust, and attitudes of students to integrate ICT. (4) confusion and difficulty in determining the learning media with the material. (5) limitations of the internet network. (6) lack of learning planning. From the results of this study, of course, the implications for PLP students of Arabic language education in the future and the lecturers are expected to provide training to PLP students of Arabic language education study programs on how to teach and how to use ICT media.
