Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model think pair share pada pembelajaran teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII A SMPN 22 Kota Jambi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Jenis penelitian kualitatif ini digunakan untuk meneliti kondisi secara ilmiah yang terdiri dari empat tahapan: 1) Observasi, 2) Wawancara, 3) Tes, 4) Dokumentasi hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model think pair share pada pembelajaran teks ekposisi. Deskripsi dalam penelitian ini berpedoman pada rancangan pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) yang telah disusun oleh guru, serta pedoman pelaksanaan model pembelajaran think pair share. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model think pair share dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia Kurikulum 2013 di kelas VIII A SMPN 22 Kota Jambi dilaksanakan untuk dapat membantu siswa dalam menganalisis unsur-unsur dan struktur teks eksposisi. Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran, Teks Eksposisi, Think Pair Share This research aims to describe the application of the think pair share model in expository text learning for class VIII A students at SMPN 22 Jambi City. The method used in this research is qualitative research using a descriptive approach. This type of qualitative research is used to research conditions scientifically and consists of four stages: 1) Observation, 2) Interview, 3) Test, 4) Documentation The results of this research show that the think pair share model is applied in learning expository texts. The description in this research is guided by the learning implementation plan (RPP) that has been prepared by the teacher, as well as guidelines for implementing the think pair share learning model. The results of the research show that learning using the think pair share model in Indonesian language learning in the 2013 Curriculum in class VIII A of SMPN 22 Jambi City was implemented to help students analyze the elements and structure of expository texts.
