Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan hasil pengamatan peneliti di lapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mengenal warna anak usia 4-5 Tahun di TK Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan Kota Jambi belum berkembang dengan baik. Hal ini dibuktikan dari temuan awal yaitu didapatkan 10 orang anak, 7 di antaranya belum berkembang dengan baik dari segi kemampuan mengenal warna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kegiatan cooking class terhadap kemampuan mengenal warna anak usia 4-5 Tahun. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan adalah Pre-Eksperimental Design dengan bentuk One Grup Pretest Posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelompok A di TK Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan Kota Jambi yang berjumlah 10 anak. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Nonprobability Sampling. Instrument yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu adalah Uji Normalitas, Uji Homogenitas dan Uji Hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa sebelum anak-anak mengikuti kegiatan cooking class, nilai rata-rata kemampuan mereka dalam mengenal warna hanya 11,3. Namun, setelah mengikuti kegiatan cooking class, nilai rata-rata mereka meningkat menjadi 28,3. Dengan demikian, kegiatan cooking class dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran guna meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal warna anak usia 4-5 Tahun di TK Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan Kota Jambi. This research is based on the results of observations by researchers in the field which show that the ability to recognize colors in children aged 4-5 years at Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan Kindergarten, Jambi City has not developed well. This is evidenced by the initial findings, namely that 10 children were obtained, 7 of whom had not developed well in terms of their ability to recognize colors. This study aims to determine the effect of cooking class activities on the ability to recognize colors in children aged 4-5 years. This type of research is quantitative research using experimental methods. The design used is Pre-Experimental Design with the form of One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The population in this study was group A at Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan Kindergarten, Jambi City, totaling 10 children. The sampling technique used was Nonprobability Sampling. The instrument used was an observation sheet. The data analysis techniques used were Normality Test, Homogeneity Test and Hypothesis Test. The results of this study prove that before the children took part in cooking class activities, their average value of their ability to recognize colors was only 11.3. However, after participating in the cooking class activity, their average score increased to 28.3. Thus, the cooking class activity can be used in the learning process to improve the ability to recognize colors of children aged 4-5 years at Al-Hadi Raziq Sultan Kindergarten, Jambi City.
