Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya kepuasan peserta didik yang diduga dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi profesional guru dan image sekolah. Guru yang kurang kompeten cenderung kesulitan dalam mengelola kelas, menyampaikan materi secara menarik, serta disiplin guru yang rendah. Kurang optimalnya komunikasi positif sekolah kepada peserta didik, orang tua, dan masyarakat sekitar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan analisis terhadap faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan peserta didik, khususnya kompetensi profesional guru dan image sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi profesional guru dan image sekolah terhadap kepuasan peserta didik di SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi sebanyak 1.244 peserta didik, dengan sampel sebanyak 303 peserta didik menggunakan teknik random sampling dan data di analisis menggunakan aplikasi SmartPLS 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kompetensi profesional guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan peserta didik sebesar 48,6%; (2) image sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan peserta didik sebesar 45,3%; dan (3) secara simultan, kompetensi profesional guru dan image sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan peserta didik sebesar 80,6%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi profesional guru dan image sekolah merupakan faktor penting yang memengaruhi kepuasan peserta didik di SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi. Abstract: The problem in this study is the low level of student satisfaction which is thought to be influenced by the professional competence of teachers and the image of the school. Teachers who are less competent tend to have difficulty in managing classes, delivering material in an interesting way, and have low teacher discipline. The school's positive communication to students, parents, and the surrounding community is less than optimal. Therefore, an analysis of the factors that influence student satisfaction is needed, especially the professional competence of teachers and the image of the school. This study aims to determine the effect of professional competence of teachers and the image of the school on student satisfaction at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population in this study were all students of SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi as many as 1,244 students, with a sample of 303 students using random sampling techniques and data analyzed using the SmartPLS 4 application. The results of the study showed that: (1) professional competence of teachers has a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction by 48.6%; (2) school image has a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction by 45.3%; and (3) simultaneously, teacher professional competence and school image have a positive and significant influence on student satisfaction by 80.6%. Thus, it can be concluded that teacher professional competence and school image are important factors that influence student satisfaction at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi.
