Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat usability pada website Fst.Library.unja.ac.id. Seiring dengan meningkatnya peran teknologi informasi dalam pelayanan publik, website ini perlu dipastikan mudah digunakan oleh masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah System Usability Scale (SUS), yang merupakan metode pengukuran usability secara kuantitatif dan praktis. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 30 responden yang merupakan Mahasiswa Aktif Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Universitas Jambi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor SUS yang diperoleh adalah sebesar 57.583. Skor ini menunjukkan bahwa website Fst.Library.unja.ac.id berada dalam kategori usability yang baik (grade D), dengan interpretasi “OK” dan termasuk dalam tingkat acceptability yang dapat diterima oleh pengguna. Namun, masih ada beberapa bagian dari website yang membuat pengguna merasa perlu belajar lebih dulu sebelum benar-benar nyaman menggunakannya. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai terendah pada aspek kemudahan penggunaan awal (learnability). Dengan kata lain, website ini belum sepenuhnya mudah digunakan oleh semua orang, terutama pengguna baru. Meskipun demikian, secara keseluruhan website fst.library.unja.ac.id sudah dapat diterima dengan cukup baik oleh penggunanya dan cukup membantu dalam mengakses layanan perpustakaan secara online. Abstract This study aims to evaluate the usability level of the website Fst.Library.unja.ac.id. As the role of information technology in public services continues to grow, it is essential to ensure that this website is user-friendly for the public. The method used in this research is the System Usability Scale (SUS), a quantitative and practical tool for measuring usability. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 30 respondents, all of whom are active students of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Jambi. The results showed that the average SUS score was 57.583. This score indicates that the website falls into the “Good” usability category (Grade D), with an interpretation of “OK” and is considered acceptable by users. However, some parts of the website still require users to learn how to navigate before feeling fully comfortable using it. This is reflected in the lowest scores in the learnability aspect. In other words, the website is not entirely easy to use for everyone, especially for new users. Nevertheless, overall, the Fst.Library.unja.ac.id website is considered reasonably acceptable and helpful for accessing online library services.
