Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan gambaran umum pemeliharaan tanaman sawit, (2) menganalisis besarnya tingkat partisipasi tenaga kerja wanita sebagai buruh lepas pada pemeliharaan tanaman sawit, (3) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pasrtisipasi wanita sebagai buruh lepas pada pemeliharaan tanaman sawit. Penelitian ini menggunakan responden sebanyak 41 tenaga kerja. Metode analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Pemeliharaan tanaman sawit meliputi pemangkasan, pemupukan, pengendalian gulma dan pengendalian hama dan penyakit. Tingkat partisipasi tenaga kerja wanita sebagai buruh pada pemeliharaan tanman sawit sebesar 6.57%. Berdasarkan hasil analisi regresi linear berganda, secara simultan diperoleh bahwa variabel umur, tingkat pendidikan, jumlah waktu luang, tingkat kesejahteraan keluarga, jumlah tanggungan keluarga, upah dan pendapatan suami berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap partisipasi wanita sebagai buruh lepas pada pemeliharaan tanaman sawit. Secara parsial diperoleh hasil bahwa variabel umur, tingkat pendidikan, jumlah waktu luang, tingkat kesejahteraan keluarga, upah dan pendapatan suami berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap partisipasi wanita sebagai buruh lepas pada pemeliharaan tanaman sawit. Variabel jumlah tanggungan keluarga tidak berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap partisipasi wanita sebagai buruh lepas pada pemeliharaan tanaman sawit. Kata kunci : partisipasi, tenaga kerja, perkebunan kelapa sawit ABSTRACT This study aims to: (1) describe the general description of the maintenance of oil palm plantations, (2) analyze the level of female labor participation as a casual laborers in the maintenance of oil palm plantations, (3) analyzing the factor that influence women’s participation as casual laborers maintenance of oil palm plantations. This study used 41 respondent labor. Data analysis method used is descriptive quantitative analysis. Maintenance ofoil palm plants inclide pruning, fertilizing, weed control and past and disease control. Participation rate female workers as laborers in the maintenance of oil palm plantations amounted to 6,57%. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis, simultaneously obtained that variable age, level of education, amount of free time, level of family dependents, wages and husband’s income have an effect simultaneously on women’s participation as casual workers in maintenance palm plants. Partially obtained results that the variable age, level education, amount of free time, level of family welfare, wages and husband’s income has a partial effect on women’s partisipation as casual laborer in the maintenance of oil palm plantations. Variable number of dependents family does not partially influence women’s participation as laborers off on the maintenance of oil palm plantations. Keyword: participation, labor, oil palm plantation
