Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa menggunakan model guided discovery learning pada muatan IPA di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, yang dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus dimana setiap siklusnya dilaksanakan sebanyak dua kali pertemuan dan terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV A SDN 64/1 Muara Bulian dengan siswa 27 orang siswa. Instrumen observasi peneltian ini adalah lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains siswa dan lembar observasi aktivitas guru di setiap siklus. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas IV A Sekolah Dasar, yaitu dapat dilihat dari hasil observasi siswa pada siklus 1 pertemuan 1 dengan persentase secara klasikal 66,5%, pada siklus 1 pertemuan 2 mengalami peningkatan yaitu menjadi 68,5%. Siklus 2 pertemuan 1 dengan persentase secara klasikal 78,9% dan pada siklus 2 pertemuan 2 mengalami peningkatan yaitu menjadi 87%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa dalam muatan pembelajaran IPA setelah dilakukan tindakan menerapkan model GDL (guided discovery learning).   This study aims to describe the improvement of students' science process skills using the guided discovery learning model in science content in elementary schools. This research is a class action research, which was conducted in two cycles where each cycle was carried out twice a meeting and consisted of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class IV A SDN 64/1 Muara Bulian with 27 students. The observation instruments of this research are student science process skills observation sheets and teacher activity observation sheets in each cycle. The data analysis techniques used were qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that there was an increase in the science process skills of students in class IV A Elementary School, which can be seen from the results of student observations in cycle 1 meeting 1 with a classical percentage of 66.5%, in cycle 1 meeting 2 it increased to 68.5%. Cycle 2 meeting 1 with a classical percentage of 78.9% and in cycle 2 meeting 2 increased to 87%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' science process skills in science learning content after the action of applying the GDL (guided discovery learning) model.
