Abstract
Model Problem Based Learning mampu menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 9% dan model Project Based Learning mampu menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 15,6%. Misconceptions are understanding concepts contained in students' minds that conflict with scientific concepts. A misconception that occurs should not be allowed because there is a big possibility that students will experience the misconception again on a more complex concept. The reaction rate of matter is abstract and requires conceptual understanding. For this reason, it is necessary to apply a model that can overcome student misconceptions, namely a model Problem Based Learning and model Project Based Learning. The aim of this research is to compare which model is best in reducing students' misconceptions about reaction rate material. The type of research is like an experiment, with a research design using 1 control class (using model Discovery Learning) and 2 experimental classes (using the model Problem Based Learning and model Project Based Learning). To measure student misconceptions using instruments four-tier diagnostic test. The research targets were class XI students of SMAN 3 Jambi. Research data was collected through pretest and posttest. Hypothesis testing was carried out by starting with normality and homogeneity tests first, followed by a one-way ANOVA test. The results of the ANOVA test show that there are differences in student misconceptions between classes that use the model Discovery Learning, model Problem Based Learning and model Project Based Learning. Based on the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the model Discovery Learning has not been able to reduce students' misconceptions, while the model Problem Based Learning and model Project Based Learning can reduce student misconceptions. Model Problem Based Learning able to reduce student misconceptions by 9% and model Project Based Learning able to reduce student misconceptions by 15.6%
