Beberapa peserta cenderung melakukan servis atas dengan teknik yang kurang tepat, seperti lambungan bola yang tidak stabil, ayunan tangan yang tidak maksimal, hingga arah pukulan bola yang tidak akurat. Kesalahan-kesalahan tersebut menyebabkan bola tidak masuk ke area lawan atau keluar dari lapangan. Permasalahan ini menjadi dasar untuk meneliti sejauh mana keterampilan servis atas memengaruhi ketepatan servis atas peserta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keterampilan servis atas dengan ketepatan servis atas pada peserta ekstrakurikuler bola voli di SMA Negeri 6 Kota Jambi. Permainan bola voli merupakan salah satu cabang olahraga yang memerlukan penguasaan teknik dasar, salah satunya adalah servis atas. Servis atas menjadi teknik awal yang sangat penting karena dapat langsung menghasilkan poin apabila dilakukan dengan tepat dan akurat. Namun, dalam praktiknya, masih banyak peserta yang mengalami kesalahan saat melakukan servis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta ekstrakurikuler bola voli SMA Negeri 6 Kota Jambi yang berjumlah 16 orang, dan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah total sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes keterampilan servis atas dan tes ketepatan servis atas yang mengacu pada standar AAHPER. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas dengan metode Liliefors dan uji hipotesis dengan teknik korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa kemampuan teknik servis atas peserta ekstrakurikuler mencapai tingkat sangat baik pada 7 orang (43%), tingkat baik pada 3 orang (19%), tingkat cukup pada 3 orang (19%), dan tingkat kurang pada 3 orang (19%). Akurasi servis atas menunjukkan tingkat sangat akurat pada 3 orang (19%), akurat pada 6 orang (37%), kurang akurat pada 6 orang (37%), dan tidak akurat pada 1 orang (7%). Hasil uji korelasi memperoleh nilai rhitung = 0,979 > rtabel = 0,497 pada tingkat signifikansi 0,05, yang mengindikasikan terdapat korelasi yang sangat kuat dan bermakna antara kemampuan teknik servis atas dengan akurasi servis atas Adapun faktor-faktor yang turut memengaruhi ketepatan servis atas selain keterampilan adalah konsentrasi pemain, kekuatan otot lengan, koordinasi gerak, serta pengalaman latihan dan bermain. Oleh karena itu, pelatih dan pembina ekstrakurikuler perlu memberikan perhatian lebih pada teknik dasar servis atas dengan latihan yang sistematis dan berkelanjutan agar ketepatan servis dapat ditingkatkan secara signifikan. Some participants tended to do overhead serves with inappropriate techniques, such as unstable ball bounces, less than maximum arm swings, and inaccurate ball hitting directions. These mistakes caused the ball to not enter the opponent's area or go out of the field. This problem is the basis for examining the extent to which overhead service skills affect the accuracy of participants' overhead serves. This study aims to determine the relationship between upper service skills and upper service accuracy in volleyball extracurricular participants at SMA Negeri 6 Kota Jambi. Volleyball is a sport that requires mastery of basic techniques, one of which is the upper service. The upper service is a very important initial technique because it can immediately produce points if done correctly and accurately. However, in practice, many participants still make mistakes when serving. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The sample in this study was all 16 volleyball extracurricular participants at SMA Negeri 6 Kota Jambi, and the sampling technique used was total sampling. Data collection was carried out through an upper service skill test and an upper service accuracy test that referred to the AAHPER standard. The data obtained were analyzed using a normality test with the Liliefors method and a hypothesis test with the Pearson Product Moment correlation technique. The research findings show that the upper service technique ability of extracurricular participants reached a very good level in 7 people (43%), a good level in 3 people (19%), a sufficient level in 3 people (19%), and a less than good level in 3 people (19%). The accuracy of the upper service showed a very accurate level in 3 people (19%), accurate in 6 people (37%), less accurate in 6 people (37%), and inaccurate in 1 person (7%). The results of the correlation test obtained a calculated r value = 0.979> r table = 0.497 at a significance level of 0.05, which indicates there is a very strong and meaningful correlation between the upper service technique ability and the accuracy of the upper service. The factors that also influence the accuracy of the upper service in addition to skills are player concentration, arm muscle strength, movement coordination, and training and playing experience. Therefore, coaches and extracurricular instructors need to pay more attention to the basic techniques of upper serve with systematic and continuous training so that the accuracy of the serve can be significantly improved.
