Abstract

ABSTRAK Rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memahami dan menyusun teks deskripsi menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia belum sepenuhnya mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif. Padahal, teks deskripsi merupakan materi dasar yang penting dikuasai siswa kelas VII karena berkaitan dengan keterampilan menulis dan berpikir logis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil belajar siswa kelas VII pada materi teks deskripsi berdasarkan ranah kognitif Taksonomi Bloom di SMP Negeri 03 Tanjung Jabung Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Tes dirancang berdasarkan enam tingkatan Taksonomi Bloom Revisi, dan wawancara dilakukan terhadap 18 siswa menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa bervariasi pada tiap tingkatan kognitif, dengan capaian tertinggi pada tingkat menganalisis (C4) sebesar 81% dan terendah pada tingkat mencipta (C6) sebesar 28%. Sebagian besar siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menulis teks secara utuh dan menuangkan gagasan secara mandiri. Faktor-faktor seperti motivasi rendah, kurang fokus, minimnya kepercayaan diri, serta lemahnya dukungan belajar di rumah turut memengaruhi capaian hasil belajar. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pemetaan kemampuan berpikir siswa dan pentingnya pendekatan pembelajaran yang mendukung pengembangan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. ABSTRACT Students' low ability to understand and compose descriptive texts shows that the Indonesian language learning process has not fully developed critical and creative thinking skills. In fact, descriptive text is a basic material that is important for seventh grade students to master because it is related to writing skills and logical thinking. This study aims to analyze the learning outcomes of seventh grade students on descriptive text material based on Bloom's Taxonomy cognitive domain at SMP Negeri 03 Tanjung Jabung Barat. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of tests, interviews, and documentation. The test was designed based on the six levels of Bloom's Revised Taxonomy, and interviews were conducted with 18 students using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that students' abilities varied at each cognitive level, with the highest achievement at the analyzing level (C4) at 81% and the lowest at the creating level (C6) at 28%. Most students had difficulty in writing the text as a whole and expressing ideas independently. Factors such as low motivation, lack of focus, lack of self-confidence, and weak learning support at home also affect the achievement of learning outcomes. This research contributes to the mapping of students' thinking ability and the importance of learning approaches that support the development of higher order thinking skills.
