(1) Winda Sherly Utami, M.Pd, (II) Akhmad Fikri Rosyadi, S.Pd., M.Pd Kata Kunci : Model Make A Match, Kemampuan Keaksaraan Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan hasil pengamatan peneliti dilapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan keasaraan anak masih terdapat beberapa permasalahan diantaranya yaitu terdapat 7 dari 12 orang anak yang belum mampu menyebutkan huruf abjad secara acak, anak masih kesulitan membedakan huruf. Anak belum mampu mengenali huruf vokal dan konsonan, guru hanya menulis huruf abjad a-z dipapan tulis, belum pernah menggunakan model make a match, disekolah masih menggunakan metode kovesional seperti ceramah,penugasan, serta duduk melingkar yang berpusat pada guru. Hal ini dapat membuat anak menjadi monoton dan bosan. Penenlitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model make a match berbantuan media flash card terhadap kemampuan keaksaraan anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Harokatil Islamiah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Eksperimen yang digunakan Pre- Eksperimental design dengan bentuk One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu 12 orang anak pada kelompok B. Teknik pengumpulan data sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Hasil dari analisis data menggunakan pengujian hipotesis uji-t paired sampel Test diperoleh nilai thitung > ttabel, 7,125> ttabel 2,201 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel X berpengaruh terhadap variabel Y yaitu model make a match berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan keaaksaraan anak. Untuk melihat beberapa besar pengaruh dapat diketahui dengan perhitungan effect size menggunakan rumus cohen’s, besarnya pengaruh model make a match berbantuan media flash card terhadap kemampuan keaksaraan anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Harokatil Islamiah. Hal ini berarti ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari model make a match berbantuan media flash card terhadap kemampuan keaksaraan anak. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model make a match berbantuan media flash card dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini disekolah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan keaksaraan anak. Keywords: Make A Match Model, Literacy Skills This study was motivated by the results of field observations indicating that children’s literacy skills still face several challenges. Among 12 children, 7 were unable to recognize letters in random order, had difficulty distinguishing letters, and could not yet identify vowels and consonants. The teacher only wrote the alphabet (a–z) on the whiteboard and had never used the Make A Match model. The school still applied conventional methods such as lectures, assignments, and teacher-centered circle time. These practices tend to make children passive and bored. This study aims to determine the effect of the Make A Match model assisted by flash card media on the literacy skills of children aged 5–6 years at TK Harokatil Islamiah. The research employed an experimental method using a pre-experimental design in the form of a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 12 children in group B, selected using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques included tests and observations. The data analysis techniques used were normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results of hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test showed that the value of t obtained was greater than the t table (t_calculated = 7.125 > t_table = 2.201). Therefore, H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted, indicating that the independent variable (Make A Match model) had a significant effect on the dependent variable (children's literacy skills). The effect size calculation using Cohen's d further confirmed that the Make A Match model assisted by flash card media significantly improved the literacy skills of children aged 5–6 years at TK Harokatil Islamiah. In conclusion, the Make A Match model assisted by flash card media can be effectively used in early childhood education to enhance children's literacy skills.
