Abstract

ABSTRACT Elpina, Maiza (2019). EFL Students’ Perception Toward Pengelolaan Pendidikan Textbook for English Students at FKIP Jambi University. Thesis, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Jambi University in Academic Year, 2019/2020. First advisor is Nely Arif, S.Pd., M.Pd and the second advisor is Dr. Masbirorotni, S.Pd., M.Sc.Ed The research disscusses the students‟ perception toward “Pengeolaan Pendidikan” textbook for English students at FKIP Jambi University. Learning “Pengelolaan Pendidikan” is very important for the student at Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, bacase they are a candidate of the teacher. In the classroom, the teacher apply some of teaching material, one of the teaching material which is used in the classroom is a Textbook. This research was conducted to find out the EFL students‟ perception toward “Pengelolaan Pendidikan” textbook. A perception is impotant because by knowing the student‟ perception, the perception can determine how the teaching and learning should be applied. If the students had good perception on the “Pengelolaan Pendidikan” textbook, it meant that a “Pengelolaan Pendidikan” textbook could be used as one of the teaching material in the classroom. The questionnaire results showed that most of the students had good perception on the textbook of “Pengelolaan Pendidikan”. They thought that the “Pengelolaan Pendidikan” textbook helped them to get the information of education in Indonesia. For the result of students‟ perception survey about Pengelolaan Pendidikan textbook based on the students answered is positive perception, most of them prefer this textbook, it means that “Pengelolaan Pendidikan” textbook recommended to be used in the classroom. Key words: Students’ perception, textbook, pengelolaan pendidikan.
