Abstract
Kurikulum 2013 dengan pendekatan saintifik melibatkan kemampuan yaitu mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, dan mengkomunikasikan. Kemampuan- kemampuan tersebut melibatkan cara berpikir kritis siswa. Model pembelajaran yang dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa adalah model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi model PBL pada materi laju reaksi dan pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa serta faktor-faktor pendukung kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam penggunaan model PBL pada materi laju reaksi di SMAN Titian Teras H. Abdurrahman Sayoeti. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian The Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes esai, instrumen penilaian kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa serta instrumen penilaian penggunaan model pembelajaran PBL oleh guru. Untuk melihat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dilakukan uji t pada data hasil tes essai yang sebelumnya sudah di uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data dengan uji Liliefors diketahui bahwa data berdistribusi normal dengan Lhitung < Ltabel, serta pengolahan data dengan uji Fisher diketahui data homogen dengan Fhitung < Ftabel. Hasil uji t dengan taraf nyata α = 5% yang diperoleh pada data hasil tes esai yaitu thitung = 3,667924102 > 1,668270514. Persentase kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kategori baik. Adapun faktor-faktor pendukung berpikir kritis siswa dalam penggunaan model PBL pada materi laju reaksi di penelitian ini yaitu strategi pembelajaran yang tepat, ketersediaan waktu dan fasilitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi laju reaksidi SMAN Titian Teras H. Abdurrahman Sayoeti. The 2013 curriculum with a scientific approach involves the ability to observe, ask questions, collect information, and communicate. These abilities involve students' critical thinking. The learning model that can help improve students' critical thinking skills is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study aims to determine the implementation of the PBL model on reaction rate material and its effect on students' critical thinking skills as well as the supporting factors for students' critical thinking skills in using the PBL model on reaction rate material at SMAN Titian Teras H. Abdurrahman Sayoeti. This type of research is The Non Equivalent Control Group Design research. The research instrument was an essay test, an instrument for assessing students' critical thinking skills and an instrument for assessing the use of the PBL learning model by teachers. To see differences in students' critical thinking skills, a t-test was carried out on the data from the essay test results which had previously been tested for normality and homogeneity tests. Based on the results of data processing with the Liliefors test, it is known that the data is normally distributed with Lcount <Ltable, and data processing with Fisher's test is known to be homogeneous with Fcount <Ftable. The results of the t test with a significant level of α = 5% were obtained from the essay test results, namely tcount = 3.667924102 > 1.668270514. The percentage of students' critical thinking skills is in good category. The supporting factors for students' critical thinking in using the PBL model on the reaction rate material in this study are appropriate learning strategies, availability of time and facilities. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the PBL model on students' critical thinking skills in the matter of reaction rates at SMAN Titian Teras H. Abdurrahman Sayoeti.
