Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan proses merancang, menerapkan, mengvaluasi, serta kendala dan solusi dari pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen dengan model self directed leraning di SMP Negeri 22 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 22 Kota Jambi. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah 1 orang guru bahasa Indonesia kelas IX C SMP Negeri 22 Kota Jambi dan 35 siswa kelas IX C SMP Negeri 22 Kota Jambi. Jenis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi pada pembelajaran di kelas, wawancara Bersama guru Bahasa Indonesia kelas IX C, angket respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menujukan bahwa pembelajaran menulis cerpen menggunakan model self directed learning siswa di kelas IX C SMP Negeri 22 Kota Jambi, pada tahap merancang RPP, menerapkan pada proses pembelajaran, mengevaluasi hasil belajar serta kendala dan solusi semua berjalan dengan baik. Walapun masih terdapat kendala dalam proses pelaksaannya dimana masih ada siswa yang kesulitan memilih tujuan, sumber dan metode belajar sendiri, sulitnya menuang sebuah ide kedalam bentuk tulisan juga menjadi kendala siswa, terakhir siswa yang belum bisa belajar secara mandiri sehingga malas dalam mengerjakan tugas. Namun, guru sudah memukan solusi yang baik dimana guru memberikan arahan secara jelas dan memberikan contoh seperti apa tujuan, sumber dan metode belajar, lalu guru juga dapat memberikan penugasan membaca kepada siswa unruk memperbanyak kosakata siswa, terakhir dilakukan monitoring yang lebih optimal kepada siswa yang masih kurang mampu belajar mandiri. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menulis cerpen dengan model self directed learning siswa di kelas IX C SMP Negeri 22 Kota jambi sudah terlaksana dengan baik. Tahap perancangan RPP berjalan dengan baik, tahap pelaksanaan sesuai dengan langkah-langkah model self directed learning, tahap evaluasi hasil belajar yang memuaskan serta tahap kendala dan solusi dari pembelajaran sebagai acuan dalam perbaikan pelajaran selanjutnya menjadi lebih baik. This research aims to describe the process of designing, implementing, evaluating, as well as the obstacles and solutions of learning to write short story texts using the self-directed learning model at SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City. The data source for this research is 1 Indonesian language teacher in class IX C of SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City and 35 students in class IX C of SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City. The type used in this research is qualitative. The approach used in this research is a case study. Data collection used observations of classroom learning, interviews with class IX C Indonesian language teachers, student response questionnaires to learning, and documentation. The results of this research show that learning to write short stories uses a self-directed learning model for students in class IX C of SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City, at the stage of designing lesson plans, applying them to the learning process, evaluating learning outcomes as well as obstacles and solutions, everything goes well. Even though there are still obstacles in the implementation process where there are still students who have difficulty choosing their own goals, sources and learning methods, the difficulty of putting an idea into written form is also an obstacle for students, finally students who cannot study independently so are lazy in doing assignments. However, the teacher has found a good solution where the teacher gives clear directions and provides examples of what the goals, sources and learning methods are, then the teacher can also give reading assignments to students to increase student vocabulary, finally more optimal monitoring is carried out for students who are still less able to learn independently. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that learning to write short stories using the self-directed learning model for students in class IX C of SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City has been implemented well. The RPP design stage went well, the implementation stage was in accordance with the steps of the self-directed learning model, the evaluation stage of learning results was satisfactory as well as the obstacle and solution stage of learning as a reference for improving subsequent lessons to be better.
