Abstract

Effectiveness of Using Anjungan Dukcapil Mandiri (ADM) Machines to Expedite Administrative Services at the Rimbo Bujang District Office. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using ADM machines in providing civil document services at the Rimbo Bujang District Office, Tebo Regency, Jambi Province. Using a descriptive qualitative research method, this research focuses on the effectiveness of ADM machines in administrative services at the Rimbo Bujang District Office and the supporting and inhibiting factors in ADM services. Data collection was conducted through observation and in-depth interviews with key informants, such as the Subsection Head of the Tebo Civil Registration Office, the Governance Section Head of Rimbo Bujang, ADM Machine Operators, and members of the public who use ADM machines. The results showed that the use of ADM machines for civil document services is not yet effective. Several obstacles hinder the readiness of the community, including a lack of socialization, low community participation, low public knowledge of technology, absence of SOPs, inadequate record-keeping, and insufficient facilities and infrastructure. To overcome these obstacles, several recommendations have been proposed. First, conduct socialization through educational programs and campaigns that actively involve community participation. Second, increase public awareness by providing guidance on how ADM machines can expedite and reduce long queues in processing civil documents. Third, purchase equipment to strengthen network connections. By implementing these suggestions, this study is expected to significantly contribute to the increased use of ADM machines. Lastly, create an archiving system or an official website for ADM services.
