Abstract

Kemampuan sains anak usia dini perlu distimulasi namun masih terdapat beberapa permasalahan diantaranya anak belum mampu membedakan bagian-bagian tanaman, mengidentifikasi ciri-ciri tanaman, mengkomunikasikan maupun menyimpulkan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, dan mengajukan pertanyaan sederhana saat berlangsungnya proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh outdoor learning terhadap kemampuan sains anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Negeri Pembina Air Hangat Timur Kabupaten Kerinci. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Pre-Experimental Designs dengan bentuk One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu 18 anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Negeri Pembina Air Hangat Timur Kabupaten Kerinci. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan lembar observasi sebagai instrumen penelitian yang telah diuji validasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil analisis data menggunakan pengujian hipotesis uji-t diperoleh nilai t_hitung sebesar 20,163, sedangkan nilai t_tabel sebesar 2,110, ternyata t_hitung > t_tabel dari angka batas penolakan hipotesis nol, dengan demikian hipotesis nol diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh outdoor learning terhadap kemampuan sains anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Negeri Pembina Air Hangat Timur Kabupaten Kerinci. Untuk melihat berapa besar pengaruh, dapat diketahui dengan perhitungan effect size menggunakan rumus cohen’s d termasuk dalam kategori yang berefek kuat (strong effect). Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian dan pembahasan didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa outdoor learning berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan sains anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Negeri Pembina Air Hangat Timur Kabupaten Kerinci. Early childhood science abilities need to be stimulated, but there are still several problems, including children not being able to differentiate plant parts, identify plant characteristics, communicate or summarize activities that have been carried out, and ask simple questions during the learning process. This research aims to determine the effect of outdoor learning on the science abilities of children aged 5-6 years at the Pembina Air Hangat Timur State Kindergarten, Kerinci Regency. This research uses the Pre-Experimental Designs method in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this study was 18 children aged 5-6 years at the Pembina Air Hangat Timur State Kindergarten, Kerinci Regency. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling. The data collection technique was carried out using the observation method. In this study, researchers used an observation sheet as a research instrument that has been validated. The data analysis technique in this research uses the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using the t-test. The results of data analysis using t-test hypothesis testing obtained a t_count value of 20.163, while the t_table value was 2.110, it turns out t_count > t_table of the limit number for rejecting the null hypothesis, thus the null hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that there is an influence of outdoor learning on the science abilities of children aged 5-6 years at the Pembina Air Hangat Timur State Kindergarten, Kerinci Regency. To see how big the influence is, it can be determined by calculating the effect size using the Cohen's d formula, which is included in the strong effect category. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded that outdoor learning had a positive effect on the science abilities of children aged 5-6 years at the Pembina Air Hangat Timur State Kindergarten, Kerinci Regency.
