Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang Pengaruh Model Think Pair Share terhadap Berpikir Kritis Siswa pada Materi Pembelajaran IPAS di Kelas V SDN 205/IV Kota Jambi yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Think Pair Share terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental dengan desain one group pre-test and post-test design, dengan variabel bebas model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) dan variabel terikat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Data hasil penelitian yang diperoleh berupa nilai pre-test dan post-test kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dan inferensial, serta dilakukan uji hipotesis menggunakan Paired Sample t-test dengan hasil nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 pada taraf signifikan 5%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPAS di kelas V SDN 205/IV Kota Jambi. This study aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on students' critical thinking skills in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) material in class V SDN 205/IV Jambi City.This research was conducted at SDN 205/IV Jambi City in the 2024/2025 academic year. The background of this study is based on the low critical thinking skills of students and the dominance of the lecture method in the IPAS learning process. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of one group pre-test and post-test design. The research sample consisted of 30 grade V students who were selected randomly. The instrument used was a critical thinking test before and after the implementation of the TPS model.The results of data analysis using the paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. The average pre-test score of 48.47 increased to 84.20 in the post-test. This finding shows that the implementation of the Think Pair Share model has a significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills in science learning. Therefore, the TPS model is recommended as an alternative active learning model that can be applied in elementary schools to improve students' critical thinking skills.
