Abstract

Abstrak Kemampuan mengenal huruf abjad merupakan salah satu aspek fundamental dalam perkembangan literasi awal anak usia dini. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan hasil pengamatan peneliti di lapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa mengenal huruf abjad anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK As Shofa Kota Jambi belum berkembang secara optimal. Hal ini dibuktikan dari temuan awal yaitu di dapatkan bahwa dari 16 orang anak terdapat 11 di antaranya yang mengenal huruf abjad belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media kotak pintar untuk mengenal huruf abjab anak usia 4-5 tahun. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen, dengan desain Pre-Eksperimental Design dengan bentuk One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelompok A di TK As Shofa yang berjumlah 16 orang anak. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji hipotesis yaitu uji paired samples test. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa t hitung 25,564 >2,131 pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05. Hal ini berarti terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media kotak pintar untuk mengenal huruf abjab anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK As Shofa. Dengan demikian, media kotak pintar dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran guna untuk meningkatkan mengenal huruf abjab anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK As Shofa. Kata kunci: Media Kotak Pintar, Mengenal Huruf Abjad Abstract The ability to recognize the letters of the alphabet is one of the fundamental aspects in the development of early childhood literacy. This research is based on the results of observations by researchers in the field who show that recognizing the alphabet letters of children aged 4-5 years at TK As Shofa, Jambi City has not developed optimally. This is evidenced from the initial findings, namely that out of 16 children, 11 of them knew the alphabet letters were not optimal. This study aims to determine the influence of the use of smart box media to recognize the alphabetic letters of children aged 4-5 years. This type of research is a quantitative research using experimental methods, with a Pre-Experimental Design design in the form of One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The population in this study is group A at TK As Shofa which amounted to 16 children. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. The instrument used is an observation sheet. The data analysis technique used was a hypothesis test, namely a paired samples test. The results of this study prove that t counts 25.564 >2.131 at a significant level of α = 0.05. This means that there is an influence of the use of smart box media to recognize the alphabetic letters of children aged 4-5 years at As Shofa Kindergarten. Thus, smart box media can be used in the learning process to improve the knowledge of alphabetic letters for children aged 4-5 years at TK As Shofa.
